Smooth seas do not make skilful sailors. As if trying to harness the immense power of the sea itself, Kym Ellery gathered, tied and folded fabrics in subaqueous-inspired prints and dreamy silks to create the Ellery SS 16 collection. With a campaign shot in a Paris studio by New York-based photographer Darren McDonald and featuring model Hayett McCarthy, this offering by Ellery is an exploration of our relationship with ocean. Like the changing tides, man may come and go, but the natural world we leave behind holds steadfast and eternal.
